WoodSpars™ is renowned for its commitment to quality and unmatched expertise in mast fabrication. With over 15 years’ experience as a distinguished shipyard, our dedication has led us to specialize exclusively in the production of masts and booms since 2017.
Our quest for perfection is fueled by a culture of innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement. Through rigorous laboratory testing, we evaluate the strength and durability of both our carefully selected woods and our glue systems. What’s more, our team has developed specialized tools, created calculation and dimensioning software adapted to mast production, and designed a unique mast lathe, enabling us to produce masts measuring up to 30 meters.

Our workshop is equipped with a mast lathe, unrivalled in Europe, enabling our craftsmen to manufacture masts up to 30 meters long and 80 cm in diameter in a fraction of the time it used to take. The production of a 16-meter mast once required the effort of two people over 15 days, whereas today, with our mast lathe, a single person can complete the task in just one day.
What’s more, our workshop specializes entirely in mast construction. We’ve optimized every step of the process using custom milling machines, sanders, a state-of-the-art spray painting system and other advanced tools.
To ensure accurate calculation of mast loads, we have developed a specialized software package. Our design team uses this software to accurately size and plan your mast. For larger projects, we collaborate with a local architectural firm for design and certification support.
Over the years, we’ve built up a wealth of experience in supplying masts. By building up a solid network of suppliers, we guarantee efficient, on-time delivery.
What’s more, at our base in Locmariaquer, France, we keep an available stock of 20 to 30 m3 of planed boards. This enables us to respond quickly to your orders.
