What type of project are your products suitable for?
Our Building range is designed for a wide variety of projects, from technical framing (PRESTIGE GLULAM) and pergola construction (MASSIF MONOLITH) to high-end interior fittings such as staircases, railings (HANDRAIL 42.5) and decorative structures (HOLLOW CORE).
What's the main difference between solid wood (MONOLITH) and glulam (GLULAM)?
Solid wood offers the raw strength and authentic aesthetics of a single piece of wood. Glulam, on the other hand, is an assembly of several strips of wood that guarantees superior dimensional stability and greater mechanical strength over long spans, while reducing the risk of splitting or twisting.
Are your products delivered raw? Do they need to be processed?
Our profiles are delivered with a neat surface finish, ready for final sanding. Treatment (varnish, woodstain, oil) will depend on the type of wood chosen and whether it will be used indoors or outdoors. We can advise you on the best finish for your project.
Is Iroko really suitable for an untreated outdoor pergola?
Iroko is a naturally Class 4 exotic wood, which means it is rot-proof and highly durable outdoors, even in contact with humidity. Treatment is not mandatory for its durability, but an oil or saturator will preserve its warm color and prevent its natural graying due to UV rays.
Do you sell to private individuals or only to professionals?
We mainly supply carpenters, builders, joiners and architects. However, don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss your project, and we’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
What makes the HOLLOW CORE more interesting than a solid beam?
Its main advantage is its exceptional weight/stiffness ratio. It is much lighter than a solid post of the same diameter, making it ideal for suspended structures or sites with difficult access. What’s more, its hollow core allows the discreet integration of electrical networks or structural reinforcements.
