Le trinquet est un mât secondaire qu’on retrouve parfois à l’avant des voilier à gréement latin. Il supporte une voile plus petite que la grand-voile, appelée « trinquette ». Il est souvent utilisé pour équilibrer la voilure et aider à manœuvrer la navire, en particulier lors de la navigation au près on dans des conditions de vent variables.
